About Everlife.com
The everlife.com website has long been on the drawing boards of my mind. The issues of money, health and a less stress lifestyle continues to grow more important to me and my family every day. No we're not going back to the 60's and living in a commune, it's more and more a realization that so much of our daily enjoyment comes from how healthy we are which includes the way we manage our money, the food we eat, the exercise we do and the stress we place on ourselves.
Coming from a background in agriculture it's easy to understand plants, chemicals, the reaction and relationship they hold between them. It's even easier to see how the big business of agriculture and the difficulty it faces with rules and regulations to generate profit and maintain quality.
Making food last longer comes at a price. The "chemically charged" foods we eat today in my opinion just don't provide our bodies with the nutrition needed for a healthy lifestyle. Our "plastic charged" living adds more stress to our life as debt grows. Adding to the fact as a member of the baby boomer generation - I'm getting older and so is my mother and in-laws - this aging has forced me to learn new ailments, conditions and solutions I never dreamed would be of interest to me, along with basic but good old fashion common sense money management. Financial "ideas" which have worked for generations.
No one wants to be sick - but what are we doing about it? Five years ago my wife started juicing carrots, it's a daily happening around our house. I know the sound of carrot juice may put you off but… in those 5 years of drinking carrot juice daily neither one of us has had a cold, flu or been sick - we're just growing older! We also started looking at simplifying our life in the world of possessions and finances. As Dave Ramsay says - "Living like no one else today, so we can life like no one else tomorrow."
This on-going journey is not just about food and living healthier but business and enjoying it more. As an entrepreneur for the past 30 years we've faced many ups and downs. Over the past 6-7 years the dedication of self study with books, audio, video and some seminars have helped me grow as a business person and expose many past mistakes, bad choices and stubborn habits which developed and still plague me. Much has changed but it's still a daily work in progress.
That's what EverLife is about - learning, sharing and hopefully enjoying life more and more everyday.
